Some information about Satan and his
kingdom By John Chopores Evil spirits know a lot about
the Bible, Christ and other things. Cf. JAM 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the
devils also believe, and tremble. (KJV) MAR 5:7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with
thee, Jesus, {thou} Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that
thou torment me not. (KJV) 1TI 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some
shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines
of devils; (KJV) ACT 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and
Paul I know; but who are ye? (KJV) Satan and his evil spirits rule, the unsaved people of this world cf.
John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this
world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. John 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for
the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to
the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the
air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: There is some order in
the kingdom of Satan.
Cf. MAT 12:26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself;
how shall then his kingdom stand? (KJV) (Mark 3:23-26 KJV) (23) And he called them {unto him}, and said unto them in parables, How
can Satan cast out Satan? (24) And if a kingdom be divided against itself,
that kingdom cannot stand. (25) And if a house be divided against itself, that
house cannot stand. (26) And if Satan rise up against himself, and be
divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. EPH 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this world, against spiritual wickedness in high {places}. (KJV) 1CO 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to
another [1]discerning
of spirits; to another {divers} kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation
of tongues: (KJV) Some (if, not most) of the mental problems, of the unsaved, is caused by
the direct activity of Satan and his demons! Cf. Mat 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of
the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son
of David; my daughter is [2]grievously
vexed with a devil. Mat 17:15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is a lunatic,
and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. Mark 5:3 Who had his dwelling
among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Mark 5:4 Because that he had been
often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by
him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. Mark 5:5 And always, night and
day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting
himself with stones. Mark 5:6 But when he saw Jesus
afar off, he ran and worshipped him, Mark 5:7 And cried with a loud
voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most
high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. Mark 5:2 And when he was come out of the ship,
immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, Mark
5:8 For he said unto him, Come out of
the man, thou unclean spirit. Mark 5:9 And he asked him, What is
thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. Mark 5:10 And he besought him much
that he would not send them away out of the country. Mark 5:11 Now there was there nigh
unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. Mark 5:12 And all the devils
besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. Mark 5:13 And forthwith Jesus gave
them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and
the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two
thousand;) and were choked in the sea. Mark 5:14 And they that fed the
swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to
see what it was that was done. Mark 5:15 And they come to Jesus,
and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting,
and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. [You, will notice
that, after, Jesus cast out the demons, the man is in his right mind!]. Mark
5:18 And when he was come into the ship,
he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be
with him. Mark 5:19 Howbeit Jesus suffered
him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great
things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. Mark 5:20 And he departed, and
began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all
men did marvel. You will notice, that the
Devil, can give visions! Cf. Luke 4:6
And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the
glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give
it. So, we are to test the spirit(s), by the Bible, and the voice of the Holy
Spirit! Cf.1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe
not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many
false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the
Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh is of God: 1 John 4:3 And every spirit that
confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this
is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and
even now already is it in the world. 1 John 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and
ye know all things. [1] 3345. metaschematizo, met-askh-ay-mat-id'-zo;
from G3326 and a der. of G4976; to transfigure or disguise; fig. to apply (by
accommodation):--transfer, transform (self); to change. "from meta (3326),
denoting change of place or condition, and schematizo (n.f.), to form, which is from schema (4976), shape, outward form. To
tranform, change the outward form or appearance of something." [CWSD.
PAGES. 972-973.]. Mat 4:9 And saith unto him, All
these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. The demons may look upon themselves as the judges of men Cf. Deu
32:17 They sacrificed unto devils, not
to God; to [3]gods
whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared
not. Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice
saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our
God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is
cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Job 2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin
for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand
now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. The same can be said for the
demons. For one of the Greek words for demon is, "daimon... They may have related a demon
with daemon as knowing, experienced in a thing, or they may have derived
the word from daiomai, to assign or award one's lot in life (diaitetai kai dioiketai
ton anthropon, the
arbitrators or umpirires and governors of men)" [WSD. PAGE.395.].
Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his
bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. Moreover, the Saints
will judge, the evil spirits of Satan cf. 1 Cor 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how
much more things that pertain to this life? Satan has a large number
of evil spirits, which follow him. Cf. Rev. 12: 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars
of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the
woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it
was born. 7 And
there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and
the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place
found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old
serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:
he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils,
working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of
the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God
Almighty. Revelation 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice,
saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation
of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every
unclean and hateful bird. Any number of demons can possess an
unsaved person. Cf. MAR 16:9 Now when {Jesus} was risen early the first
{day} of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast
seven devils. (KJV) MAR 5:9 And he asked him, What {is} thy name? And he
answered, saying, My name {is}[1] Legion: for we are many. (KJV) [1] legeon, "legion, the largest
division of troops in the Roman army, varying at different periods from 3,000
to 6,600. Used for an indefinitely great number" [BULLINGER. PAGE.
449.]. “Latin word (_legio_). A full Roman legion had
6,826 men. ". This may not have been a full legion, for #Mr 5:13 notes that the
number of hogs was "about two thousand." Of course, a stickler for
words might say that each hog had several demons.” [RWP]. “ for we are many: as a Roman legion did consist of many, though its number
was not always alike: in the time of Romulus, a legion consisted of three
thousand foot, and three hundred horse; afterwards, when the city was,
increased, of six thousand foot, and six hundred horse; sometimes it was six
thousand and two hundred foot, and three hundred horse; sometimes four thousand
foot, and three hundred horse; sometimes five thousand foot, and three hundred
horse {x}. Some make a legion to consist of six thousand six hundred sixty six;
and others make it much larger, even twelve thousand five hundred: however, the
number in a legion was many; hence the word is retained among the Jews, and is
used for a large number, either of persons or things; as, Mytyz lvm dxa Nwygl,
"a legion of olives"“[JOHN GILL]. The
casting out of demons, works against the kingdom of Satan! Cf.
Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees
heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the
prince of the devils. 25 And Jesus knew
their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself
is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall
not stand: Matthew 12:26
And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall
then his kingdom stand? Casting
out demons, is one of the things that Christians are called to do! Cf. Mark
16:17 And these signs shall follow them
that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak
with new tongues; Luke
10:17 ¶ And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the
devils are subject unto us through thy name. Acts
5:16 There came also a multitude out of
the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were
vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one. Acts
8:7 For unclean spirits, crying with
loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with
palsies, and that were lame, were healed. It
must be done by the power of God! Cf. Luke
11:20 But if I with the finger of God
cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. [It being done
by the "finger" of God: shows that it is very easy for God to do!]. Sometimes a demon has to be cast
out, before a healing can take place! Cf. (Matthew 9:32-33 KJV) (32) As they went out, behold, they brought to him a
dumb man possessed with a devil. (33) And when the devil was cast out,
the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in
Israel. Sometimes when the spirit leaves a
person, it will throw the person down! LUK 9:42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil
threw him down, and tare {him}. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and
healed the child, and delivered him again to his father. (KJV) [1]1253.
